MP GETS ACTIVE AT CLUNY

Peter Grant, MP for Glenrothes and Central Fife, had a rare chance to let off some steam and try his hand at some outdoor activities in his constituency last week. Ahead of Fife Business Week, Peter has been visiting a number of businesses around Glenrothes and Central Fife to find out more about the enterprises powering the local economy. Last week this included a visit to Cluny Activities where he was shown round by Managing Director Drew Shedden.
Commenting, Peter said:
“It was a real pleasure to revisit Cluny Activities and get the guided tour from Drew. The business has grown remarkably since I was last there and now boasts a range of activities including archery, ‘footgolf’ and Segway. There is nowhere quite like Cluny Activities throughout Fife and the surrounding areas offering such a unique mix of outdoor and indoor pursuits all in the one place.
“I was impressed to learn that the firm now employs 15 full-time staff and, with over 60,000 visitors already this year, clearly makes an important contribution to the local economy. Drew and his team are doing a fantastic job to keep up with today’s rapidly changing market and ensure that Cluny remains the well-established local brand that it is in the leisure and recreation sector. I wish them all the best moving forward.”
