GLENROTHES WORKERS WEAR IT PINK FOR BREAST CANCER RESEARCH

Workers at Castleblair Business Centre teamed up last Friday to ‘Wear It Pink’ for breast cancer research. Sense Scotland, DRS Consulting Engineers and Jack’s Auto Car Kare teamed up with Peter Grant MP and his staff to wear a splash of pink in order to raise awareness and vital funds for breast cancer research.

Wear It Pink is the centrepiece of Breast Cancer Awareness Month in October, and as well as fundraising, it’s a great way of increasing awareness of the statistics, risks, and warning signs relating to breast cancer.

Peter commented:

“With breast cancer the most common cancer in the UK, a shocking one in eight women will face it in their lifetime. Several of my close relatives have been treated for breast cancer and nearly everyone in my constituency will know someone whose chances of survival have been greatly improved thanks to research funded by Breast Cancer Now.

“As a Breast Cancer Now Ambassador I was proud to take part in ‘Wear It Pink’ along with my constituency office team and our neighbours Sense Scotland, DRS Consulting Engineers and Jack’s Autos. It was great fun seeing everyone dressed up and raising money for such an important cause. Well done to everyone for getting in the spirit and thanks to Kim from my office for organising the day for us.”
