MP SUPPORTS PIPEATHON CHARITY AUCTION

Peter Grant, MP for Glenrothes and Central Fife, has shown his support for Greenock and Inverclyde MSP Stuart McMillan’s Pipeathon 2017 charity auction.

Mr McMillan – Holyrood’s ‘Parliamentary Piper’ – piped at all 42 senior Scottish football clubs this summer, including East Fife, with many of them donating signed strips – along with some other exclusive items, including match day tickets and one club’s very own gin – for auction. The money raised will be divided between Andy Adams Fund, Clyde 1’s Cash for Kids and Clydeside Action on Asbestos.

Peter said:

“Pipeathon 2017 was an inventive and entertaining way of raising money for some great causes. Stuart McMillan MSP deserves a huge pat on the back for the hard work he put in over the summer piping at football grounds across Scotland and gathering so many fantastic items for auction along the way.

“I am very grateful to East Fife FC for hosting Stuart and his pipes, and for kindly donating a signed shirt for the auction.

“If you are interested in picking up something special from your favourite football team for Christmas whilst raising money for three deserving charities, take a look at the online auction site which is now taking bids.”

The online auction will be hosted by McTears Auctioneers and can be found here: http://www.mctears.co.uk/auctions/browse.aspx?id=416ee31b-93fb-44e4-b95b-84f8cf840777
