Peter Grant, MP for Glenrothes and Central Fife has thrown his support behind a local family holiday food provision project, Family Fun and Food, which is delivered by the local Community Learning and Development team in Glenrothes.

Over the Christmas period, there will be festive fun planned every day except Boxing Day, New Year’s Day, and the 2nd of January.  St Columba’s Church and Collydean Community Centre will be running Christmas lunch for those interested, but booking is required.

Commenting, Mr Grant said:

“This is a fantastic project that has been very successful since it began earlier this year. I am very pleased to see that it will be back for Christmas, offering families the opportunity to get out of the house and keep the children entertained. Kudos to the volunteers who are running lunches on Christmas Day. Giving up precious time with their families to ensure that others can have a fun-filled day.

“I hope that many families locally enjoy this service over the Christmas holidays. Thank you to the Fife Council CLD team, and to all volunteers, for the delivery of this service for our communities.”
