A great many people have had their holidays cancelled this year because of travel restrictions imposed by governments both at home and abroad. In most cases the travel firm will be legally obliged to offer a full refund. I’m aware that a lot of companies are trying to avoid this responsibility and are offering travel vouchers or replacement bookings instead. Although customers are free to accept these offers the company should not put any pressure on them to do this. The customer has a legal right to a cash refund if that’s what they want.
