MP GIVES A THUMBS UP FOR FIFE CHARITY

L-R: Gingey with Peter Grant MP

Peter Grant, MP for Glenrothes and Central Fife recently met with local charity Fife Gingerbread. The MP met with the new Executive Strategic Manager, Jacqui Hardie at their new headquarters based within the Queensway Industrial Estate in Glenrothes.

Fife Gingerbread was set up to support and empower Fife’s lone parents and families in need through early intervention and partnership working.

After the visit, Peter Grant MP said: “I’d like to say a big thank you to Jacqui for taking time out of her busy schedule and meeting with me. It was refreshing to hear of the vision that she has for Fife Gingerbread going forward. Fife Gingerbread offers so much to many people within our communities and gives single parents and families the support that they desperately need. They have given valuable support to many of my constituents when they needed it most.

“I also finally got to meet Gingey although sadly Jacqui missed the photo opportunity. It’s amazing how she always seems to leave the office just before Gingey appears, then she comes back in just after Gingey has left.”

Jacqui Hardie added: “A lovely and warm welcome was received from Peter having Fife Gingerbread recently moved into his local constituency. It’s reassuring to know that Fife Gingerbread has Peters support and our services are valued withing the local community. I was disappointed at not being able to appear in person in the photo…maybe next time!"
