PETER GRANT MP THANKS LOCAL POLICE EFFORT

Glenrothes and Central Fife MP, Peter Grant has thanked the Glenrothes Police division for their hard work and community spirit during what he calls “unprecedented and challenging times”.

The comment from the MP come after local police officers have been spotted across social media channels going around different areas of Glenrothes, including the connected villages, and praising the artistic efforts of the local kids. So far, the Police have visited the Woodside, Tanshall, Stenton, Collydean, and Auchmuty areas of the town, as well as Kinglassie and Thornton. Mr Grant says that it is clear that this small competition has given parents and kids a bit of a morale boost during an incredibly emotional time for some kids.

Mr Grant has said that as well as bringing some anticipated fun into the communities for children, his office has had contact with the Police to report other concerns raised with him from members of the community, and he thanks the local division for their quick response to these enquiries.

Commenting, Peter Grant MP said:

“Everyone is feeling immense pressure right now, so I would like to give a huge thanks to the Glenrothes Police division for the support that they are giving to our communities at a time when emotions are clearly heightened. They have responded quickly to enquiries that I have made on behalf of constituents, and I know that they will be doing this with a lot of other tasks already on their list.

“The wee local competition that they have on the go with our local kids has clearly brought a lot of fun to folk and I hope has brought a bit of normality to the small people in our lives.

“Finally, I would like to thank everyone for sticking to the advice and guidance issued by the Scottish and UK Governments and staying at home. I understand that this can be difficult and challenging, but it will make the world of difference in our fight against Covid-19.”
